Official Statement

After a record first half-year turnover, Optimum Solar faces further great development opportunities.

All is well in Optimum Solar's business as, despite the actions of the credit rating agency, business-like discussions are ongoing between the bondholders and the owner (as guarantor), as confirmed by the successful bond interest payment on 14 May 2023 and the positive resolution at the bondholders' meeting on 18 May 2023.

Since its foundation the company has achieved the highest revenues in the first 4 months of the year and has successfully published its audited annual accounts by RSM Hungary Tier 1 auditor enterprise. The company currently has a valid commercial offering volume of more than HUF 150 billion, moreover a large volume of investments in the government-supported ‘factory rescue programme’ and other solar power plant projects have started as well.
Just recently, Optimum Solar has successfully turned on the 24MW Solar Power Plant in Szeged, which is now a major part of the MVM Group's green-generation capacity. Besides this, the company has been promoted by HIPA (Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency) and the serious market of the ESG obligated companies have also started to order due to the 1 billion EU subsidy.[1]

As one of the country's largest public tender winners, our company is facing significant opportunities with the MVM Group's 300 MW framework contract.[2] Our partner company is involved in the largest Solar Power Plant project in Bosnia and Herzegovina (near Trebinje) with a capacity of 145 MWp, which will start construction this year and represent an investment of more than EUR 120 million. This project is the jewel in the crown of a successful Balkan opening and strategy complemented with the launch of parallel developments in most Balkan countries.[3]

Based on our continuous expanding on domestic and international markets, our business strategy represents real value for our long-term partners, therefore we have their credit and trust to continue our work

– Mr. Roland Lugos summarizes the on-going processes.
